Friday 8 November 2024 at 9.00 pm – Teatro Giuseppe Verdi
Discoverland is the result of the artistic union of two versatile musicians such as Pier Cortese and Roberto Angelini.
After numerous collaborations and individual record releases, this project, born in 2011, has the idea of reinterpreting songs that have marked the history of Italian but also international music in an innovative and experimental way.
The result is two albums of revisited covers, a concept album of original songs will be released in September 2024.
The live show we will host will therefore be an opportunity to listen to the fruit of this urge to deal with unreleased music.
Research that merges with the original story.
On stage together with Angelini and Cortese an exceptional guest: Niccolò Fabi.

Saturday 13 July 2024 at 9.00 pm – Courtyard of the Municipal Fortress
On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Carlo Bergonzi, one of the greatest Verdi tenors of all time, the Municipality of Busseto, in collaboration with the Amici di Verdi Association, is pleased to announce the event “A memory of love” . The evening will be held on Saturday 13 July 2024 at 9.00 pm, the birthday of the great Verdi voice of the last century, in the evocative courtyard of the Rocca Municipale of Busseto.
The event will see the participation of talented artists such as:
Stefano Secco, tenor voice who studied with the great Renata Scotto;
Sarah M. Punga who perfected her singing studies at the European Academy under the direction of Carlo Bergonzi with particular attention to the Verdi repertoire;
Francesco Congiu, a young tenor of excellence from the Verdi Academy of the Teatro Regio Foundation in Parma who will also be in Busseto during the Verdi Festival 2024 in “Un Ballo in Maschera”.
The technical insights into the voice and technical career of Carlo Bergonzi will be entrusted to Marco Faelli, former teacher of the training courses of the Toscanini Foundation with teaching role at the conservatories of Parma and Mantua and to Dino Rizzo from Busseto, teacher, appreciated organist and among the greatest experts on Giuseppe Verdi’s youth music.
The talented performers will be accompanied on the piano by maestro Miriam Damiani, a refined interpreter also of chamber music. These artists will offer the public a program of arias in homage to the career of Carlo Bergonzi.
The evening will be moderated by William Fratti of OperaLibera, who will guide the audience through memories and anecdotes about Carlo from Busseto, paying homage to his extraordinary musical legacy.
To allow everyone to participate, the completely free event will also be broadcast in live streaming on the @opera_libera Instagram page.
All invited to Busseto to celebrate this important anniversary and to honor the memory of an artist who left an indelible mark on the world of opera.

You will be able to spend an exceptional time with them. You will be transported by the purity of their crystalline voices that will make you vibrate to the rhythm of their songs and their passion. The musical program will consist of masterpieces of French music, including Fauré, Gounod, Charpentier, Franck.
The Boys’ Choir of Paris is considered by experts to be the best French boys’ choir. Created in its current form in 1956, the Choir of the Little Singers of Paris aims to discover the riches of classical music and convey a message of peace. Currently led by maestro François Polgár, former director of the choir of the Paris National Opera and of the choirs of Radio France, the choir continues to travel around France and the world singing with the same enthusiasm as its origins.
Last year, the Little Singers of Paris choir performed in Argentina and Uruguay, for its first official appearance in Latin America, singing in prestigious cities such as Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Córdoba and Mendoza.
This year, from 7 to 25 July 2024, the choir will cross all of Italy, from Venice to Palermo, passing through Rome, Naples and Busetto. Among the scheduled concerts we mention the one at the Palazzo Farnese in Rome and at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo.
The Little Singers will be accompanied in their concert by the pianist and organist Jean-Christophe Polgár, also a former chorister. Demonstrating the fact that the choir of the Little Singers of Paris is also a large family in which all generations are brought together around a project of life and sharing, in a famous religious school in Paris.
Entrance to the concert of the Little Singers of Paris will be free.
