Play the Games is an event that develops into inter-regional events that replace the national games. All Play the Games events maintain the characteristics of a National Summer Game and involve athletes, volunteers, schools and health programs. Three days of true inclusion and a great opportunity for athletes with and without disabilities to create new friendships and relationships with people from all over Italy. A great opportunity for parents of people with intellectual disabilities to discover the Special Olympics world.
The edition organized by Team Emilia Romagna will see 1000 athletes, 70 delegations competing in 7 different sports disciplines, athletics, bowls, badminton, horse riding, volleyball, rugby and table tennis in four municipalities in the province of Busseto, Fidenza, Noceto and Salsomaggiore.
The event also includes the involvement of 200 volunteers, of the event’s partner companies: Theras, Adidas, Belorn, Carglass, of Lions district 107 tb volunteers and of students from the schools of Fidenza and Lodi.
